Greenwich Democrats to Hold Biennial Caucuses

The caucuses are an opportunity for registered Democrats to become more involved in their party, officials say.

The biennial caucuses of the Greenwich Democratic Town Committee will be held on Monday, Jan. 13.

The caucuses will be held at 7 p.m. at various locations throughout Greenwich.

The meetings are for all registered Democrats in Greenwich who are interested in membership on the committee as representatives of their respective districts and to become involved with the town's political process.

Committee members work to elect their candidates in local, state and national elections. This includes attending community events, developing an understanding of the issues facing the community and addressing the issues, participating in monthly committee meetings, supporting candidates for office, and manning the campaign headquarters each fall, according to the DTC's announcement.

“This is an opportunity to join Democrats in Greenwich and take an active role in the political events that shape our community,” said Committee Chair Frank Farricker.
