Will Linda McMahon try to unseat U.S. Rep. Jim Himes and represent Connecticut's 4th Congressional District in 2014's midterm elections?
According to the Greenwich Time, state GOP leaders are gauging whether the Greenwich resident has any interest in running for office a third time after her failed U.S. Senate campaigns in 2010 and 2012.
McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, recently sat down with the Huffington Post to talk about various political issues, including sequestration. McMahon said that in her capacity as CEO, if she had to cut 10 percent of her budget, for example, it might be more prudent to cut 13 percent from one department which could absorb it and seven percent from another, rather than just 10 percent straight down the line.
She also said she "thoroughly enjoyed" her to senatorial campaigns, during which she spent $100 million of her own money.
While McMahon herself debunked possible rumors about launching a congressional bid, she recently blogged on the Huffington Post about how women can help lead an economic recovery. She also actively maintains her Facebook page, which was recently updated to include photos of her meeting U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
