Selectman's fund-raiser for The Nathaniel Witherell features one of the town's celebrities.

The Nathaniel Witherell, the town-run nursing home, is considered by many to be one of the town's gems.

Selectman Drew Marzullo has said that he holds a dear spot in his heart for the Parsonage Road facility where he has had friends and family receive services over the years.

To show his gratitude and to build some community awareness of the facility that has been earned a state certificate of need for major renovations and upgrades for such projects as the HVAC and fire safety system, Marzullo is continuing his efforts for a celebrity raffle. He is hoping to raise at least $3,000 for the planting of a garden and his efforts received an endorsement Thursday from his fellow selectmen.
