Novakowski on Marzullo: "Selfless willingness help others"

To the editor,

When listening and reading comments in support of Drew Marzullo’s reelection a common theme is his tireless dedication to selfless public service. Since his election to the board of selectmen four years ago, Drew has time and time again demonstrated why his decision to serve in our towns’ government is such a natural fit for him.

Aside from his countless hours at G.E.M.S., Drew has been there for the entire town of Greenwich at the forefront of every issue.  When neighbors opposed the building of a cell tower on the Aquarion property in North Mianus,  Drew stood side by side with those neighbors and defeated it.  When the town was battered by storms and the back country went so long without power, Drew was there to pressure CL&P to restore power sooner than later.  At the high school Drew stood in favor of the MISA project from day one.  More recently, when tragedy came to the high school on the first day of school this year, Drew was in the forefront to find a way to prevent this from ever occurring again.

On a personal level I can tell you firsthand about Drew’s selfless willingness help others.  In pursuing my own candidacy he has been there from day one, encouraging, directing, and advising me how best to proceed.  In short, Drew is the consummate public servant.  It’s just his nature to do his part to make things a little easier for someone else.

We’re grateful and fortunate to have him in our town and especially in our government.  Let’s keep him there on November 5th.
