Public Info Meeting for Byram River Basin Study to Be Held Wednesday

Residents and business owners are invited to the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. to learn more about the proposed Flood Risk Management Feasibility Study.

 

The Department of Public Works will be holding a public information meeting on Wednesday at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. to answer residents' and business owners' questions about a proposed cost-shared feasibility study between Greenwich and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to determine if flood risk management opportunites are advisable for Connecticut and New York.

The purpose of the study would be to develop and evalute alternatives for implementing long-term solutions to flooding and other water resource problems in the Byram River Basin. The study will mainly focus on the Pemberwick area south of the levee, as well as the area around Bailiwick Bridge to the north.
