State GOP to Honor Tesei, Moccia

Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei will be honored at the First Selectman of the Year at the Connecticut Republican Party's annual Chairman's Dinner on Wednesday.

Also to be honored is Norwalk's Mayor Richard Moccia as Mayor of the Year. Former state Senator Dan Debicella will receive the Frederick K. Biebel Lifetime Achievement Award, and Gary Schaffrick will receive the Pat Longo Leadership Award, at the dinner to be held Oct. 2 at the Continental Manor in Norwalk, according to the invitation.

Tesei said, "It's nice to be recognized. But I think people are making a big deal about doing the job for the people of Greenwich."

Keynote speaker will be former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts.
