Car Dealership Properties Are Top Greenwich Land Sales

The top real estate transactions in Greenwich last week involved the sales of the properties that are home to Mercedes-Benz Greenwich.

The sales of the four properties eclipsed several multi-million residential sales.

Watson Enterprises has sold the properties at 217, 252, 261 and 262 W. Putnam Ave. One building houses a repair facility, another is the AMG Mercedes-Benz showroom, the third — at 217 W. Putnam Ave. is home to the used car showroom at the corner of Brookside Drive. The fourth building, at 261 W. Putnam, is the two-story new car showroom and repair facility that's situated on 1.39 acres.

The properties were purchased West Putnam Realty LLC. The dealership is owned by the Penske Automotive Group, part of the automotive, truck and racing conglomerate founded by famed race car driver Roger Penske.
