As a designer, I want my clients homes to speak a luxuriously livable language with a dialect that embodies a unique, custom design and personality; one that cannot be replicated. A home filled with a mixture of classic furnishings juxtaposed among heirlooms, antiques, vintage accessories and rare, one-of-a-kind furnishings. Incorporating luxury finishings, fabrics and textiles as well as unusual objects and furniture is the key to designing an extraordinarily unique home. I can assure you, you won’t walk into your neighbors’ homes and find these pieces living in their rooms.

I love the thrill of the hunt for unusual items, and I bask in the joy of the rare discovery that presents itself when I least expect it. When those opportunities arise, Carpe Diem!

This is one of those moments!

Designers run into many situations where years later their clients call and want to redesign their home, or they purchase furniture on their own and realize it’s not the right fit; as you will see, this can be a very costly mistake.  Well their loss is our gain!  Seize the moment and bring these rare collector pieces into your home.

When designer, Brett Beldock was asked to redesign her client’s home, she decided to part with this Oscar winning show stopper; a very special and rare Neidermaier cocktail table sculpted in a bronze, hand cut filigree. The custom risers are one of a kind and signed by the artist, Richard Hunt.

This renowned Chicago artist, whose public sculptures adorn cities around the country, teamed up with Niedermaier to create a collection of die-cut bronze tables, desks, and screens. The artist is no longer making these tables; making this one-of-a-kind collector’s piece. Learn more about Richard Hunt in When Zen Takes Over ...Read More — http://bit.ly/13Tb31e
