Brian Peldunas, Peter Bernstein "Bring Important Mix of Skills" to BOE

Letter to the editor
Dear Greenwich Residents,
We have an opportunity this fall to elect two dedicated citizens, professionals and fathers of children in our schools to the Board of Education in Brian Peldunas and Peter Bernstein, the two endorsed Republican candidates. Both gentlemen bring a wealth of experience that will complement the legacy board members with fresh ideas as they continue to tackle important issues impacting our children.

Brian Peldunas is well known among his neighbors for successfully leading important changes to the elementary school mathematics curriculum that benefit all students in town. In addition to a successful career in the financial services industry, Brian is a local small business owner, and brings tremendous perspectives on innovation, science and technology.

Peter Bernstein has been an active volunteer in our schools, most recently completing a two year term as the president of the Hamilton Avenue School PTA and he also served as a member of the School Governance Council. Peter has very informed views regarding the strengths of community schools and the needs of our students. As a compliance attorney, he will provide a valuable trained legal perspective regarding how to optimize BoE strategy in our dealings with the State. Professionally he is involved in training employees around the world through the use of technology.

Brian and Peter bring an important mix of skills and talent to the table. Most of all, they bring a desire to work together and with other members of the Board of Education. For years, Brian and Peter have been engaged participants in the Board process and are ready to hit the ground running.

I commend both Brian and Peter for the dedication they have already shown Greenwich citizens and students, and sincerely hope you will join me in offering support to their Board of Education candidacy in November.

Regards,
Eric Lindberg
