Business SMART Series at Greenwich Library

Greenwich Library will partner with SCORE and the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce to offer a three-part Business SMART series starting Tuesday, January 24th. Each of the three sessions will take place at 7:45 a.m. in the Cole Auditorium.

The first session, Websites 3.0: Your 24-Hour Business, will discuss the next generation of websites and the ideas businesses are putting together to generate more revenue. Presenter Pam Barnet will address what you need now and how to plan for the future, as well as outline website basics, e-commerce integration, design and more. Barnet has been developing websites since 1992 ranging from simple brochures to e-commerce shopping and complex web applications.

The second session will take place on Wednesday, February 8th and is entitled, Website Marketing Strategies and Social Media Integration. Rob Petersen, President of BarnRaisers, an online marketing solutions company, will address branding, content strategies, and social media activities including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter and blogs. Petersen has developed and executed social media initiatives for the American Heart Association, Colgate, Mars and Shell.

The third session will be on Tuesday, February 21st and the topic will be Optimizing Your Website and Investment Using Google Analytics and Search Engine Optimization. Key tactics and tips on how to get started as well as measuring your efforts will be presented by Judi Virgulak and Marie Jablonksi, of Jumar Marketing. Founded by Virgulak, Jumar Marketing is a full service marketing agency specializing in marketing strategies, brand awareness, web design, web development, social media and search engine marketing.
