February Forum to Address Power Outage Issues

The Greenwich Tree Conservancy and The Greenwich League of Women Voters  will sponsor an educational forum “Power Struggle: Balancing the Needs of People, Power and Trees” on Tuesday, February 28 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Darien Town Hall.

The forum will consist of a panel of speakers representing several stakeholders such as CL&P, the Governor’s Two-Storm Panel, PURA (the Public Utility Regulatory Authority), the Connecticut Forest and Park Association and a representative from the Concord, Mass. municipally owned power company, who will  speak on this all important issue of powers outages, past and future, and what can be done to reduce their frequency and duration. A Q&A will follow their presentations
