Greenwich Public Schools Ready for Kindergarten Registration

Registration for some schools starts Tuesday.

The Greenwich Public Elementary Schools on Monday announced plans to welcome and register incoming - fall 2011 - kindergarten children and their parents. And it begins Tuesday, March 1.

The process begins with a kindergarten orientation program for parents at each of the schools in March. Parents must then make an appointment in early April during kindergarten registration week to verify residency and register incoming kindergarteners at their respective schools. In May, incoming kindergarteners are invited to experience kindergarten classrooms in their school on the May 5 Kindergarten Visitation day.(See schedule below.)

All schools will mail invitations for Kindergarten Visitation Day to families who have registered or are otherwise known to the schools as having incoming kindergarten students. Parents and guardians who have a child entering kindergarten who do not receive a letter from the school in their attendance district should contact that school office for information on this process. Children that turn five-years-old by Dec. 31, 2011 are eligible for kindergarten.

Dismissal and buses for this year’s kindergarten classes will be at noon on May 5.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
