Accepting Applications for 2013 Theatre Apprentice Company!

Shakespeare on the Sound wants theater artists ages 16-25 for our summer production!

Shakespeare on the Sound will form its fifth annual Apprentice Company in 2013 to give theater students and developing artists the opportunity to work with some of the country’s leading theater artists on our summer production and beyond.  Apprenticeship's will cover all aspects of professional theatre in both artistic and technical theater arts. This hands on apprentice program will provide a deeply meaningful and educational opportunity for growth and development to selected high school and college students with a demonstrated interest in theater and will give them direct access to national leaders in the field. All apprentices will create their own work and a few will have the opportunity to be featured in the main stage show.

The apprentice company will consist of up to fifteen selected applicants of diverse backgrounds, ages 16 to 25, with a passion for and commitment to the theater, and especially those who are interested in pursuing theater careers. Apprenticeship will be announced on January 31. Major duties will take place May thru July.

Applications are currently available online and deadline to apply will be Friday, January 11th. Open to all students ages 16-25. Please visit our web site for application, full details for the Apprentice Company and criteria for applying.  http://www.shakespeareonthesound.org/apprentice-company

Shakespeare on the Sound has established itself as one of the most popular summer theater companies on the East Coast, drawing large audiences to each performance in the unique under-the-stars settings of its waterfront venues – Pickney Park in Rowayton and Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich.  Shakespeare on the Sound productions are presented to the public free of charge.

If you have any questions about the Apprentice Company, please contact Scott Bartelson at scott@shakespeareonthesound.org or call 203.299.1300.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
