The Greenwich Redbirds rolled to the Junior League Softball Championship on Thursday with a 15-1 drubbing of Ridgefield at Wilton's Middlebrook School.
Greenwich advances to the Section 1 tournament in Orange on Monday with an opening game against the District Two champ at 5:30 p.m.

Greenwich outscored its four opponents in the tournament by a margin of 50-6, including an 12-2 win over Ridgefield.

The Cannons face Darien/New Canaan on Friday (5:30 p.m.), Stamford on Saturday (10 a.m.) and Wilton on Sunday (10 a.m.). All three games are at Havermeyer Field.
By winning the zone championship, Greenwich (21-3) has clinched an automatic berth into the state tournament, which begins July 19 at Muzzy Field in Bristol and Palmer Field in Middletown.
