A New Home for "Around the House" with Steve Gladstone

Tune in Saturday Mornings for Helpful Information on WGCH 1490 AM for Around the House With Steve Gladstone.

For almost 12 years if you wanted to know how to fix something in your home, or you weren't sure what that widget was that was connected to the freebis... you could listen to me on Saturday mornings on WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 am and the chances were good I would come up with an answer or award you a prize for stumping us. Sadly, last year Sacred Heart University bought the stations and turned them into National Public Radio and silenced the local community minded talk radio stations previously owned by Cox Radio.

I hafta tell you over the last few months, I have been going through radio host withdrawal. l was not happy that there was no place for local programming nor did I know what to say to the many fans who were loyal listeners to our show when the would say, "Saturday mornings are just not the same".

It wasn't the same for me either... sleeping late, doing projects around the house and not being able to tell what happened.

There was no one to whine to when I would have a project turn into a disaster and I really didn't know what to do with all those T-shirts that say "I listen to Steve on the radio".

Depression set in. I moped around and finally my wife said, "go get another show already ! "

So starting Saturday, Oct. 27, on WGCH radio in Greenwich I invite you to listen to me once again whine and complain about all the work my house demands, and I promise I'll try to help you struggle through keeping your home healthy and safe.

I have a bunch of sponsors, special guests and each week we'll probably give away useful prizes for your participation if you decide to call in.

We'll be on from 7 am to 9 am, and hope that you'll listen live every Saturday on 1490 Am or streaming on your computer at wgch.com.

I hope to chat with you then...  Around the house with Steve Gladstone rides again! Information you need for your home.

The most comprehensive and extensive souce of information on almost everything and anything pertaining to a house is the "Do it yourself" WS , www.doityourself.com.
The D-I-Y ws features a "Forum" section with almost a hundred sub-sections from automobiles and plumbing to taxes and mortgages . The "Forum" essentialy is an "Answer Forum" for D-I-Yers seeking expert advice. Just minutes ago I submitted advice to someone with a heating-control question in the "Electrical-A.C.& D.C." sub-section of the Forum. My Forum name is "PATTBAA"
