Find A Fireworks Show Near Greenwich For Fourth Of July

Fireworks shows now through the extended July 4th holiday weekend.

Fireworks are a Fourth of July tradition in America and this season there are plenty of shows to be found in Fairfield County.

Check out the interactive map above for times, locations, pricing and other important information for upcoming shows near you.

If you prefer to stay in town for the fireworks, mark the calendar: Saturday, July 6. (The rain date is July 7.)

Here's a brief rundown on the details accessing the two venues: Greenwich Point Park and Binney Park, both in Old Greenwich.

The Binney Park fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m., following a concert by the Sound Beach Community Band that starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free—but keep in mind that residents stake out their spots throughout the day, laying out blankets, setting up chairs, etc., before arriving en masse for the appointed hour.

For the pyrotechnics at Greenwich Point (aka Tod's Point), more planning will be needed. Greenwich Police issued an advisory on access to Tod's throughout the day July 6 and for the evening, with restrictions being imposed as the day proceeds. For all details on those restrictions, as well as where police and Greenwich Emergency Medical Services will be available for service, click on the attached PDF.

Basically, if you want to see the fireworks from Greenwich Point, get there early. Access to the park—which requires a beach pass until 5 p.m., and a town-issued parking permit or day parking pass—will close at 8:30 p.m. It could be earlier if parking reaches capacity, according to Greenwich Police.
