Central Middle School will present its annual game show comedy, on Friday, February 1st, and Saturday, February 2nd, at 7:00 p.m.
At a recent rehearsal, dancers Olivia Jones and Anna Brecher shared their enthusiasm for SuperShow 2013. Not to be outdone, actors Jack Ullrich and Caleb Edmundson showed their dedication.
For over a decade, the school has hosted this sell-out event in its auditorium at 9 Indian Rock Lane.
Hundreds of students from CMS, Greenwich High School, Julian Curtiss School, Cos Cob School, and North Street School will put a humorous spin on classic scenes from Broadway plays, Academy Award winning movies, popular television shows and top ten internet videos.
Throughout the play, the audience will be asked to participate in competitions such as The Dating Game, Diaper Derby, The Voice, and Dancing with the Stars. The hour and twenty minute performance is fast-paced, energizing, and fun!
Highlights from this year’s show include: North Street School’s comical renditions of Snow White and The Wizard of Oz; Cos Cob School’s tribute to Nickelodeon’s iCarly, and One Direction; Julian Curtiss’ oversized version of CandyLand; and CMS’s version of Top Chef, Toddlers and Tiaras and much more.
Once again the Colgate Thirteen, Colgate University’s men’s a cappella group will make the journey from Hamilton, NY, and Brooklyn’s BAM and The Liquid Robot will appear on stage. Click for clips from last year.
