Public Access TV Producer: "Neighbors"

NEIGHBORS is in Brooklyn, NY. This all came about right at the time I started asking the Divine Creator my yearly question, “Where are we going to film NEIGHBORS next February [2013]?” Now I think the answer is Brooklyn, NY where I was raised from three days old until I was 13 years old. Brooklyn where my daughter was born and raised for nine years - home of the Brooklyn Nets Basketball team! All I can say is “Who’d thunk”.

This weekend I went to New York City for the 30th wedding anniversary party of two dear friends that I hadn’t seen in about eight years. In between hugs and kisses I learned that the wife is a public access producer in Brooklyn so I told her about NEIGHBORS. Monday I sent her a link to NEIGHBORS III, and she loved it. So when I say NEIGHBORS is in Brooklyn I mean it’s been seen by someone with connections. Another underground conductor, if you will.

NEIGHBORS going into New York City was so far removed from my psyche It wasn’t even a consideration. I was hoping we’d connect with someone in Bridgeport. Young people in that area could benefit from Chess program promotions, which is what the show NEIGHBORS does, in addition to teaching the basics of Chess – but Brooklyn, NY, knock me over with a feather. About the Brooklyn thing, I want to make this perfectly clear, nothing is chiseled in stone yet, but hope springs eternal.
