Neighbor to Neighbor Thanks Boy Scouts For Food Drive

To the editor:

Neighbor to Neighbor would like to congratulate and thank the Greenwich Council, Boy Scouts of America for their tremendous success during their recent “Scouting for Food” drive benefitting Neighbor to Neighbor.

Particularly at this time of year, food pantry shelves run bare. Yet thousands of Greenwich residents rely on us in every season for healthy food to feed their families and make ends meet.

We are fortunate to have such dedicated young men, who collected over 6,000 pounds of food on March 1st.  Thank you also to the Glenville, Cos Cob and Sound Beach Fire Departments and Christ Church Greenwich, for graciously acting as collection points.  Thank you to State Rep. Fred Camilo, Honorary Chair of this year’s drive, for your dedication to ensuring all our Greenwich residents are taken care of.

We invite the public to visit our food pantry to see firsthand the impact our hundreds of volunteers have in our community, and to make a difference by following the lead of the Boy Scouts in giving back.  Thank you!
