Football, Book and Plant Sales, and Elections — All Happening in Greenwich


Happy Monday Greenwich!

Looking for a place to watch Monday Night Football? Look no further than Temple Sholom. They will host a game party in the temple's new lounge.

It's Election Week in town — don't forget to vote on Tuesday. If you haven't registered to vote, you can on Election Day in the Lounge Room in the basement of Greenwich Town Hall. You will need proof of identity, such as a driver's license, and proof of residency, such as a utility bill or a property tax bill. You will be able to vote at Town Hall only, during regular polling hours 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Temple Sholom will be holding its book fair Monday and Tuesday, featuring books for children and teens.

On Election Day, the Garden Education Center will hold a plant sale at its Bible Street facility.

Also on Tuesday, there will be a women's sports medicine forum at Greenwich Hospital. The event will feature the ONS Women’s Sports Medicine experts in a 
panel discussion regarding the latest diagnostic and medical management 
techniques for injuries and conditions common in female athletes.

The First Church PreSchool will hold its Holiday Boutique featuring more than 20 unique vendors and a silent auction at the church on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich.

Former Connecticut Congressman Bob Steele will discuss his newly-published book "The Curse: Big-Time Gambling's Seduction of a Small New England Town" on Nov. 6 at The Perrot Memorial Library in Old Greenwich. 

Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist Glenn Wolff will present a workshop, "Combatting Bullying: What Parents Can Do Now" to be held at Cos Cob Library on Wednesday.

The Breast Cancer Alliance will host its 18th annual “Kick Up Your Heels and Step Out For Pink!” luncheon on Nov. 7 at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich.

In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the "Night of Broken Glass," local area choirs will join together at Temple Sholom to honor the memories of lives lost that night. The concert is presented by The Sholom Center for Fellowship and Learning and the Greenwich Fellowship of Clergy. 

The fall edition of the book and media sale of the Byram Shubert Library kicks off Friday night, Nov. 8 and continues through Sunday, Nov. 10 with a 'guess-timated' 20,000 books, CDs and videos at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Byram.
