With several additions to this year’s boat show and a focus on on-the-water fun, visitors will have a chance to get up close and personal with gators, SCUBA dive, and get behind the wheel of a boat with free courses for new and experienced boaters.

The star of Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch, Johnathan Hillstrand, will be at the show Friday 1 - 3 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m.; Saturday Noon–2 p.m. and 3 –5 p.m.; and Sunday Noon–2 p.m.)

In the "Try it Cove" there will be a "PaddlePalooza" with stand-up paddling and kayaking classes, tours and demonstrations.

The popularity of paddle sports has grown both for the fitness benefits and the joy of being on the water without a motor. "Paddlepalooza" is geared toward new paddlers as well as those looking for the latest paddle techniques. At anytime during the show guests may ask the staff to ‘give it a go’ for 15 minutes to test the waters, or have our staff demonstrate.

The Boat Show website features page has more details on kayaking lessons, tours, paddling, sailing and even paddleboard yoga and "Sealegs" – amphibious boats with retractable legs.

Other featured events for the boat show include Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center and a series of workshops
