On Holiday in Greenwich This Weekend


You don't have to go far in Greenwich to get into the holiday spirit this weekend. Here's a look at some of the events. For a complete list, check our events calendar.

Latkes, Pajamas & Birthdays at Temple Sholom
Come in your pajamas, sing Hanukkah songs, eat latkes, spin dreidels and celebrate Shabbat and birthdays of all children born in November and December on Friday evening, Nov. 22.

Annual Holiday Craft Sale
The First Congregational Church of Greenwich is hosting their Annual Craft Sale of handcrafted goods from Maine on Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 24, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 108 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich. 

Junior League of Greenwich annual Enchanted Forest Festival
Kick off the holiday season on Friday, Nov. 22 with a "Sneak Peek" at all the trees, gingerbread houses and boutique from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. The Junior League of Greenwich event includes complimentary admission, boutique shopping, cash bar, and open bidding and "Buy it Now" options on select trees and gingerbread houses. The Enchanted Forest continues Saturday and Sunday.

Holiday Craft Fair 
Unique crafts and gifts, delectable baked goods, and fresh wreaths made by the Boy Scout Troop 10. Luncheon served 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Diamond Hill United Methodist Church, 521 E. Putnam Ave., Cos Cob.

Banksville Annual Turkey Jamboree
The Banksville Independent Fire Department and the Banksville Community House will cohost its annual Turkey Jamboree fundraiser featuring family events and games and prizes from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24.

Celebrate Hanukkah with Greenwich Reform Synagogue
Bring your menorah as Greenwich Reform Synagogue shares a group candle lighting for its Hanukkah celebration that includes a catered dinner, music and lots of other festivities. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped holiday gift for a child in need to the program that begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.
