Bethel A.M.E. Church was established in 1882, nearly 100 years after the African Methodist Episcopal demoniation began in Philadelphia in 1787. The church building on Lake Avenue was built in 1921 and includes a large hall that can be reserved for community meetings for up to 100 people. Congregants can attend Sunday service, after church school and Bible study.
