With a mission to "encourage and foster the sport of yachting, the art of yacht design and construction and the science of seamanship and navigation," the Indian Harbor Yacht Club has provided for the recreation and amusement of the town's most avid sailors for more than a century.

The private club has grown since its organization in 1889. Today, some 700 members participate in the year-round regattas, sailing programs and frequent IHYC parties.

A large ballroom and a number of smaller clubrooms are available for rental, provided sponsorship by a member.
