The National Organization for Women, NOW, began in 1966, with the purpose of bringing equality to all women in areas such as jobs, pay, credit, political power and reproductive rights. Greenwich is home to one of many NOW branches in the state that together make up the Connecticut Chapter. Connecticut NOW's Action Network takes a stand through letters to the editor, petitioning and protesting and testifying on legislative bills. Special events include the annual Love Your Body 5K run and walk.
