It's hard to miss the Second Congregational Church on the corner of Millbank and East Putnam Avenues. The church, founded in 1705, sits majestically top a hill. Its magnificent stone building and steeple has become a town landmark. An informal worship service takes place in the chapel on Sundays at 8:30am. The main service is held at 10:30am in the sanctuary. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month.<br /> <br />Adult bible study classes meet before mass on Sundays at 9:30am, and Christian education classes take place during the 10:30am service. Childcare is available from 9:30am to 11:45am on Sunday mornings. <br /><br />Volunteers and professional musicians comprise the Chancel Choir and the men's and women's choruses. Youth Choir Program is a popular, non-auditioned group for boys and girls.<br /><br />The church has a number of rooms that are available for rental by nonprofit groups only.
