The Commission on Aging has been serving Greenwich elders since 1975. The volunteer agency, which operates out of theMore town's senior center, coordinates services and provides information catering to the needs of the elderly. Members of the commission are nominated by the Board of Selectmen, and after appointment by the Representative Town Meeting, serve three-year terms.

The mission of Friends of Greenwich Point, which started as an advisory board to the Board of Selectmen, is toMore protect and preserve the natural environment of Greenwich Point and its facilities through stewardship and public education.</p> <p>The nonprofit service organization coordinates a number of programs year-round, including habitat restoration projects, traffic restricted Sundays in winter, scholarships and educational programs and summer concerts. Bird walks take place on the first Sunday of each month from 9am - 11am. Interested participants are asked to meet at the southern food concession. Membership forms and information is available on the website.</p>

Greenwich Government and Community Television Channel 79

Greenwich Community Television Channel 79 is the town's government access TV channel. It is available to allMore Greenwich residents via Cablevision.</p> <p>The station began in 2003 with a grant from Cablevision and provides residents with unedited coverage of Town Hall meetings, lectures and special events.</p> <p>GCTV also produces a number of locally relevant shows, including "A Conversation With," "To Your Health" and "Inside Greenwich Real Estate." <br /><br />The station is run entirely by volunteers and managed by the GCTV Committee as appointed by the Board of Selectmen.<br /><br />A weekly programming schedule is available online, and QuickTime files of recent Town Hall coverage is available for free download.</p> <p>To post an announcement on the GCTV bulletin, which runs between programs, contact the Department of Administrative Services at the number provided.</p>
