The nine-person Department of Planning and Zoning serves to "conserve, preserve and develop" the Town of Greenwich. TheMore department coordinates with Greenwich residents, local businesspeople and all town hall departments, especially the Planning and Zoning Commission, to ensure that local land use conforms to local regulations and to ensure zoning regulations and procedures are fair and beneficial.

Greenwich Town Hall is the main government building.

The first floor houses the offices of the FirstMore Selectman, Town Clerk, Tax Assessor and Tax Collector, Human Resources, Retirement and the Registrars of Voters, the Probate Court and the Community Development Department.

Departments of Land Use, Parks and Recreation, Public Works and Finance are located on the second floor.

Parking Services and the Health Laboratory are located on the ground floor.

The Town Hall Meeting Room and a few smaller conference rooms host many of the town's public meetings, including those of the Representative Town Meeting, Board of Selectman, Board of Finance and the Planning and Zoning Commission.
