Since its founding in 1919, the Riverside Garden Club has promoted gardening and civic beautification. The clubMore co-sponsors a house tour each spring with Hill House.

The club is a affiliated with Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut and the National Council of State Garden Clubs.

Members meet once a month (typically the fourth Tuesday, 11:30am - 2pm) at various locations, and sometimes convene with other local garden clubs.
