Botched Drug Deal Yields 3 Arrests in Greenwich

Three teens were arrested in Greenwich on Wednesday evening following what appears to be a botched drug meet-up downtown.

According to police an 18-year-old man , was arrested at 5:20 p.m. and charged with distribution of controlled substances within 1,500 feet of a school, illegal manufacturing, distribution and sale of a controlled substance.

Two others were arrested at for stealing his wallet and money, as well as a small amount of marijuana, police said. The man was additionally was charged with intent to sell, according to police.

Elijah Caleb Dume, 18, of 78 Oakridge St.—as well as a 17-year-old male, whose name police withheld because of his age—each were charged with sixth-degree larceny and illegal possession of marijuana.

All of those arrested were released on $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 7 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

In what appears to be a separate matter, Dume was rearrested at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 28 and charged him with second-degree failure to appear. He is scheduled to appear next month in state Superior Court in Bridgeport in connection with original charges.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested at 11:24 a.m. on Nov. 27 and charged with disorderly conduct after reportedly yelling at his mother, then threatening her.

The teen is accused of throwing a large metal pot across the kitchen, a small tray and large Tupperware container full of cookies all over the kitchen.

According to police, the kitchen was in disarray from the items thrown about.

Police withheld the teen’s name because of his age.

The case was referred to the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford and the teen was scheduled to appear Nov. 29.

A 14-year-old was arrested at 7:01 p.m. on Nov. 26 and charged with second-degree larceny and second-degree breach of peace.

He’s accused of stealing an item from another juvenile male. Police withheld his name because of his age.

The case was referred to the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court in Stamford and the teen is scheduled to appear Dec. 13.

Christopher R. Cannizzaro, 52, of 122 West Cedar St., was arrested at 7:50 a.m. on Nov. 26 and charged with first-degree criminal trespass.

He was found in the upstairs bedroom apartment of a Greenwich Housing Authority property on Vinci Drive, according to police.

Cannizzaro was released after promising to appear Dec. 2 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Donna C. Dahlgren, 44, of 18 Glen Terrace, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. on Nov. 25 and charged with driving under the influence, making an improper turn and operating without a license.

She failed field sobriety tests after a motor vehicle accident, according to police.

Dahlgren was released on $260 bond and scheduled to appar Dec. 9 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Michael Jean-Paul, 20, of 2 Avon Lane, Stamford, and Wesley M. Oler, 18, of 8 Bonwit Road, were arrested at 12:29 a.m. on Nov. 26 and charged with sixth-degree larceny. They’re accused of taking drinks from a cooler at a CVS in Cos Cob, then throwing the containers on the floor and leaving without paying.

They were released after promising to appear Dec. 9 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Michael Illescas, 23, of 29 Old Kings Highway, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. on Nov. 26 and charged with evading responsibility and unsafe movement. He’s accused of leaving the scene after striking a parked car while driving south on Steamboat Road, police said.

Illescas was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 8 in state Superior Court in Stamford.

Nicholas Ceci, 22, of 121 Lower Cross Road, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. at Nov. 24 and charged with driving under the influence. He failed field sobriety tests after police stopped him for speeding on North Street.

Ceci was released on $300 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 2 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
