Breast Cancer Awareness Talk at YMCA of Greenwich

The YMCA will be hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness talk on Monday, October 21. All Are Welcome

Anne Morris

Chief Executive Officer
Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

An accomplished professional, Ms. Morris has more than 20 years
experience in not-for-profit business development, project management
and resource administration and spent 10 years prior to that time in the
corporate sector in financial management and human resources.

Morris
is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Connecticut Affiliate
of Susan G. Komen for Cure.  As CEO, she is responsible for fundraising,
fiscal and administrative management, outreach and grant making for the
organization.  In her four years at Komen Connecticut, Morris has led
the organization to an unprecedented double digit annual growth in
revenue and has increased the Affiliate’s visibility throughout the
state.  For each of the past three years, Komen Connecticut has funded
over $1 Million in community grants to local breast health organizations
providing services to women in need.

Morris, a tireless
advocate for the cancer cause in Connecticut, also sits on the Board of
Directors for the Connecticut Cancer Partnership. The Partnership is
responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a statewide
Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan, which aims to reduce the burden of
cancer and assist individuals throughout the course of the disease.

Susan Forster LMT, CMLDT received her Master in Public
Administration from the University of New Mexico in 1989. After working
with the federal government for 12 years, she pursued a career as a
Licensed Massage Therapist and is also a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage
Therapist and a Certified Oncology Massage Therapist.  After working at
Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford for 6 years, she has recently
relocated to Greenwich and is highly skilled in Swedish, Deep Tissue and
Sports Massage.  She has been practicing for 11 years and is a member
of the American Massage Therapy Association, the National Certification
Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and the Society for Oncology
Massage.
