Cos Cob Man Allegedly Urinates in Lobby of the J House

Police said Leonidas E. Denslow, 70, of Cognewaugh Road, was identified by three witnesses who saw him urinate in the front lobby of the new, upscale restaurant and inn.

A Cos Cob man was issued a misdemeanor summons for second degree breach of peace on Thursday evening after he allegedly urinated in the front lobby of the J House restaurant and inn on East Putnam Avenue.

Police said Leonidas E. Denslow, 70, of Cognewaugh Road, was identified by three witnesses who saw him urinate in the front lobby of the upscale restaurant and inn, previously a Howard Johnson's motel. The incident was reported at around 8 p.m.

Denslow, who was still on the premises when police arrived, was apparently "very intoxicated," according to officers who responded to the complaint.

Denslow is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 13.

Gary David Drew, 51, of Carlton Street was arrested via warrant on Wednesday, Sept. 5, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said Drew's arrest stems from a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Aug. 13 on Lake Avenue.

He was also charged with operating under suspension due to a previous violation, according to police.

Drew posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 19.

Nancy Davidson, 56, of Morgan Avenue was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol on Thursday, Sept. 6.

Police said Davidson was involved in a single car accident on the property of The Mill, 328 Pemberwick Road, at about 8:18 p.m. During the investigation into the accident police determined she was intoxicated.

Davidson posted a $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 20.
