Greenwich put away Friday's contest against overmatched Bassick early.
The Cardinals erupted for 28 points in the first quarter en route to a 49-8 victory over the Lions for their second win of the young season.
In the first quarter alone, Shane Nastahowski scored on a pair of 1-yard runs, Alex McMurray added another 1-yard TD burst and Michael Daly returned a blocked punt 35 yards for a score.
