The boys swimming team clinched the FCIAC title for the 41st time in the last 42 years on Friday.

The Cardinals posted a winning score of 359.50 to finish more than 100 points ahead of runner-up New Canaan.

It was the fifth consecutive championship for Greenwich, whose string of 36 consecutive titles was snapped in 2007. Staples, finished third, followed by Wilton and Westhill/Stamford.

Greenwich won the 200 and 400 freestyle while Alex Lewis finished second in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

The Cardinals' Ed Moss was third in the 50 freestyle while Thomas Dillinger was fifth in the 200 freestyle and fourth in the 500 freestyle.

Greenwich's Ian Edmundson had fifth-place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke.
