Party on Boat Ends With 2 Arrests

2 Greenwich teens charged with partying on a boat without owner's permission.

 

Two Greenwich teens faces a variety of charges including criminal trespass after Greenwich Police say they found them aboard a boat in a local marina.

The boat's owner told police the pair and "numerous youths" didn't have his permission to be on the boat docked at the Beacon Point Marina on River Road in Cos Cob about 5:19 p.m. Aug. 28, according to a Greenwich Police report.

Police charged Mark B. Johnson, 19, who gave addresses of 150 Cat Rock Rd. and 27 Mead Ave., Cos Cob, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, possession of a controlled substance, possession of alcohol by a minor and two counts of larceny by possession. Johnson is accused of having a black duffel bag contained a Stamford resident's driver's license and a Town of Greenwich parks pass which had been reported stolen, according to the report.

Johnson also was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court. He was held in liue of $1,500 bond.

The second suspect was identified as Nicholas B. Richards, 18, of 1 Windrose Way, Greenwich. He was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and possession of alcohol by a minor. He was released on $1,000 bond.

Both were scheduled to appear Sept. 5 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
