Ballet des Amériques Student Accepted at the Royal Ballet School

A ballet student from Greenwich has been selected to study at the prestigious Royal Ballet School in Britain.


A student at Ballet des Amériques has been accepted by the Royal Ballet School in the United Kingdom as a boarder trainee to its White Lodge Summer School 2014 program.

Emanuel L, a resident of Greenwich, is trained by Ballet des Amériques' Director Carole Alexis and teachers Celeste Landa and Isodale Alexis. Director Carole Alexis prepared the remote audition.

This news follows on the heels of an earlier announcement that two students at Ballet des Amériques were admitted to the summer program at the Opéra de Paris.

Based in Port Chester, New York, Ballet des Amériques is an international performing arts and dance center for students and professionals in the greater New York City area.

Under the direction of Carole Alexis, Ballet des Amériques School & Company combines ballet training, dance education and performance. Students of the School receive intensive training in classical ballet, in modern and in contemporary dance as well as a well-rounded dance education (with classes in music, dance history, anatomy) in a comprehensive and integrated curriculum-based pre-professional program.
