Rep. Camillo’s Fire Police Bill Signed into Law by Governor Malloy

HARTFORD — State Representative Fred Camillo (R-151) was in Hartford last Friday afternoon to watch as Governor Malloy signed his Fire Police Bill into law. The law makes it an infraction for not obeying traffic signals given by fire police officers.

Present at the bill signing was Greenwich Fire Police Officer Christian Anderson who was dragged 20 feet by a car after a man ignored his traffic signal during a severe storm 2 years ago. Mr. Anderson was part of the inspiration for the legislation.
