Spin To Win Soul Cycle Ride to Benefit AVID

Announcing a Soul Cycle Ride to benefit the Greenwich Alliance for Education's AVID College Assistance Program (CAP.)

"Spin to Win" will be held Sunday, April 27, 2:00 p.m. at Soul Cycle, 266 Mason Street, Greenwich, CT.

Interested riders can register on the Greenwich Alliance for Education website (www.greenwichalliance.org)

Bikes start at just $50. We are also looking for individuals who would like to sponsor an AVID student or teacher to ride. There is no spinning experience necessary and all levels are welcome to participate. Soul Cycle will provide spin shoes and water for the ride.

Meli-Melo is providing post-spinning smoothies and goody bags have been generously donated by Whole Foods Market Greenwich.

Space is limited as there are only 60 bikes available.

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a college-readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll in four-year colleges. Although AVID serves all students, it focuses on the least served students in the academic middle.

In the Greenwich High School AVID Class of 2014, 21 out of 21 students have received acceptances to four-year colleges including the Naval Academy and the Culinary Institute of America. In addition, these students have received over $1,500,000 in merit scholarships and grants. Last year, all 16 students in GHS's first graduating class were accepted to college and all are the first in their families to attend college. The Alliance CAP and Mentoring Programs continue to provide financial support and guidance as these students and their families confront the financial burden of and navigate the college environment of higher education.

Visit the Greenwich Alliance website at www.greenwichalliance.org for more information about our programs and for updates about these successful and dedicated students
