Greenwich Is Backdrop for 'What Would You Do?'

Drunk parents trying to force their kids to drive them home is focus of an episode of the program 'What Would You Do?' that was filmed on Greenwich Avenue.

The mother was apparently drunk and was trying to get her young daughter to drive her home. Ditto for a father and his son.

How often does that happen across America — let alone in Greenwich? The answer's not known but on a sunny summer day, Greenwich Avenue was the backdrop for an episode of the ABC television series What Would You Do? . It's not clear exactly when the episode aired this year but Greenwich Avenue is very apparent in the video.

Familiar storefronts including Betteridge Jewelers are in the background of the segment that has actors portraying a young girl with her drunk mother and a son with his drunk father — parents who are trying to convince their children it's okay for them to be the designated driver and drive the family car home.

The segment focuses on seemingly unaware passersby and whether they will become involved to prevent the child from driving. What happened was interesting to say the least. Some passersby got involved while others did just that ... passed by.

Here's the link to the video on what happened in Greenwich.
