On the Greenwich Waterfront — A Photo Gallery

The opportunity to ride aboard a Greenwich Police Marine Unit boat is always a welcome respite from the everyday routine.

It's great to see the dedication of the seven officers assigned to that division. Who wouldn't love to have the shoreline and waters off Greenwich as their office? But at times that "office" can pose great threats, given weather conditions.

When the water's calm and it's sunny, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous.

This photo gallery offers some of what you'll see if you take a jaunt aboard one of the town's three ferry boats when the ferry season opens June 14. This year, the town's Department of Parks and Recreation has expanded its 'Cruise to Nowhere' series with 14 two-hour cruises scheduled. For more information on the cruises, check the Town of Greenwich website.
