Conversations on Courage and Faith Offers A Weekend with N.T. Wright "Reading the Gospels for All They're Worth"

Conversations on Courage & Faith, a series of lectures, artistic performances and spiritual experiences that inspire and equip people to live Christianly in a postmodern world, is proud to present a weekend with N.T. Wright, Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Christ Church Greenwich, 254 E. Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, Conn. 

Saturday’s all-day event, Reading the Gospels for All They’re Worth, takes place from 10:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., in the Christ Church Greenwich Parish Hall.  Tickets are $65 and include lunch. 

Sunday’s event, The Shepherd and the Thief, take place at 9:30 a.m. in Christ Church’s Sanctuary.  Virtue: The Radical Alternative and a book signing will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

Recently retired Anglican Bishop of Durham, England, N. T. Wright is one of today's best know and respected New Testament scholars. He was previously Canon Theologian at Westminster Abbey and taught for 20 years at Cambridge, McGill and Oxford Universities. He has been a visiting professor at Harvard Divinity School, Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and Gregorian University in Rome. A prolific scholarly and popular writer, he has written more than 30 books. Additionally, he makes frequent media appearances and contributes to UK newspapers. This summer he returned to the academic world as research professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. 

Conversations on Courage & Faith is proud to welcome N. T.
