Neil Young & Crazy Horse have canceled four of their North American tour dates and sadly, their Sept. 2 Port Chester show is among the cancellations.
An injury to guitarist Poncho Sampredo’s hand caused the cancellations. The Capitol Theatre will be refunding the tickets, which ran from $153-$228, at point of purchase.
The band’s shows on Aug. 31 and Sept. 4 in Ontario, and on Sept. 7 at the Interlocken Music Festival in Arlington, Va. have also been canceled.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes to our fans or the Festivals where we were scheduled to appear," the band said in a statement. "As you must be, we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events."
The group is next scheduled to perform at Farm Aid in Saratoga Springs on Sept. 21 and plans to continue their tour as scheduled from there.
Willy Nelson & Family, Leftover Salmon, The Mickey Hart Band, Clutch and Railroad Earth are all still scheduled to play in September. Find dates and tickets at thecapitoltheatre.com. The Capitol Theatre’s official anniversary weekend will feature Willie Nelson & Family on Sept. 18 and 19.
Are you bummed about the cancellation? What show will you go see to cheer yourself up?
