Businessmen, Volunteers Earn Greenwich Chamber Awards


Local businessmen and community volunteers were honored at the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce annual awards luncheon Thursday.

The Town Hero Awards were given at the luncheon held at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich.

The honorees included:

Nonprofit Leadership Award: Chris Franco of the Greenwich Point Conservancy.

Corporate Leadership Award: James McArdle of McArdles.

R. Michael Dunne Quality of Life Award: Peter Malkin of Malkin Holdings LLC.

Small Business Award: Christine Georgopulo of Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom.

Chamber of Commerce Volunteer Award: Jim Hohorst, Student Employment Software.

Public Service Awards: Mark Horvath of the Glenville Fire Department, Greenwich Police Sgt. Michael O'Connor, and Karin Brion and Robert Camp of Greenwich Emergency Medical Service.

Receiving the inaugural Malcolm S. Pray Excellence in Business Award: Ian and Shep Murray, founders of Vineyard Vines.
