Yacht Design Firm Opens Greenwich Office
Sparkman & Stephens, offering custom boat design, production design, yacht brokerage, chartering and insurance, has clients from all over the world.
Seeing Greenwich as fertile waters, Yacht design firm Sparkman & Stephens recently relocated its New York office to 170 Mason Street.
The firm, which also has offices in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Newport, R.I., has more than 2,700 yacht designs to its credit, according to its website. In addition to custom boat design, it also offers services in production design, yacht brokerage, chartering and insurance. Clients come from all over the world.
Although the boating industry as a whole has been hit hard by the economic downturn, company officials say so far they’ve weathered the storm, according to an article in the CT Post. Sparkman & Stephens also offers classic boat restorations and recently that’s become a growing part of the business, company officials said.
