I am getting divorced and moving. I work 24/7 and don’t have young children. How do I meet new people?

Religious settings, men’s and women’s clubs, as well as groups specific to your hobbies are a traditional place to meet new people. Often those people have spouses, children and established local relationships. In a word, they are not neccesarily looking for new friends.

Just like people routinely find dates on the Internet, there are now web sites to find platonic relationships and people with whom to share common interests and activities. And their mission is to introduce people to one another, which eliminates the embarrassment factor when trying to establish yourself in a new community.
