Don't Believe Everything You Read on the Internet
Lawyer admits to human foibles and frailties.
This is a take-off on the old chestnut: "Don't believe everything you read in the newspapers". The net and newspapers are not equivalent sources of information. Newspapers are written by trained professionals and edited by skeptical, objective editors. I know this because I used to date a reporter.
As a lawyer I am trained to be analytical, critical and skeptical. I know people occasionally lie, omit to state inconvenient facts, shade the truth and sometimes misperceive or misremember. Everyone also makes mistakes.
This is my inaugural blog. Although I promise I will never lie to you, I am just as subject to human foibles and frailties as the next guy. Maybe more so because I believe the old adage "never let the facts get in the way of a good story." If I tell a story, however, I'll let you know it's a story and you can reach your own conclusion about its truthfulness. On balance, I will try to honestly state my beliefs and tell the truth as I see it. Hopefully, the way I see it will be the truth or at least entertaining.

In the great tradition of the internet I will also liberally borrow from and cite my sources (just look at the Huffington Post and you'll see what I mean). You can't expect me to come up with really good stuff on my own, can you?
