Nancy Barton, Greenwich Resident, 60

Nancy Barton, who was a big part of the Greenwich, passed away on Friday night. According to the Greenwich Post, Barton died at Stamford Hospital. She was 60 years old.

Barton served not only on the Board of Estimate and Taxation for six years until just last month but also as board president of the Child Guidance Center in town. She graduated from Tufts University and Boston University and was a highly respected corporate attorney.

Last month, a former colleague on the BET, "one of the most competent people I have ever met and a passionate voice for children, the elderly and the underprivileged."
