Letter: BET Democrats Finger, Ramer, Kiernan 'A Constructive Coalition'

I am writing to support Bill Finger, Jeff Ramer and Mary Lee Kiernan for the Board of Estimate and Taxation.  They represent a moderate Democratic Party position on a Finance Board, which has become very politicized.  The three of them work with their Republican colleagues in a collegial rather than confrontational manner.

They stand for moderate tax increases, repairing our infrastructure, a strong educational system and helping those in need.  Their presence and strength on the Board is essential to advance a progressive agenda by working with all the members of the Board in a constructive coalition.

All three have leadership roles on the current BET.  Bill is the senior Democratic member of the BET and a member of the all important Budget Committee, Jeff is Chairman of the Law Committee while Mary Lee is the current Clerk of the Board and brings an impressive background of community involvement and knowledge to our Town.
