Letter: Democratic Candidates Are 'Soul of Greenwich'

Once and a while, one has the privilege to work with people who are just very fine human beings.

Drew Marzullo greets the World with his huge warm heart and a twinkle in his eye.  You think of him as our wonderful Selectman.  There are hundreds of people in Town, however, who also know him as that warm quiet confident presence that knelt beside them as our GEMS paramedic in their desperate hour of need.  Drew brings that same open warmth to his service as Selectman:  the door is always open, and when you walk in, he listens and cares and does.  I like having a Selectman who sees a commonality between a Town Government that listens and responds, and a paramedic beside you, focusing on YOU in your emergency.

Beth Krumeich comes to the First Selectman’s race as a long standing pillar of Greenwich. She served as President of the League of Women Voters, an officer of the Junior League, and a Co-President of the North Street School PTA.  The YWCA honored her with its “BRAVA!  AWARD” for her work on the formation of a Wilbur Peck Residents Council. She served as a Trustee of Hamilton College. All the while, she has maintained her active career as a lawyer, where she serves as in-house counsel to a publicly traded financial services company.  Beth donates untold hours to the Democratic Party.  The adult daughters of Beth and her husband Ed are both products of the Greenwich Public Schools.  Beth Krumeich is the soul of Greenwich and a wonderful human being.
