Outgoing Ed Board Member Supports Bernstein, Peldunas

Supporters of Peter Sherr want you to believe that the Republican party did not support his re-election attempts because of his vote for a Democratic Chair two years ago and against me.

The reality is that he didn’t garner party support because of the 25 meetings he has missed or been late for, his disrespectful obstruction of Board and superintendent work, and his lack of preparation for meetings.  Four years of condescending, antagonistic and destructive behavior by Mr. Sherr has been a major contributor to short-lived Superintendent tenures.  He has been called out in the papers as having helped force out former Superintedent Sid Freund and for having a destructive effort on Board work with current Superintendent McKersie.

For our children and our town, we cannot allow this corrosive member to maintain his position on the BOE.  This period of Board member dysfunction must end so that we can get back to focusing on the educational growth of our students.

On the Republican side, please vote for Mr. Bernstein and Mr. Peldunas.  Both have shown that they know how to ask the tough questions but to do so in a constructive manner!  They will help move the Greenwich Public Schools forward.
